ABOUT US

Jacqui Snider the author of “ Dealing With Behaviour and Children on the Autism Spectrum” is the mother of 3 children, aged 9,12 and 15. She is also a Paediatric Occupational Therapist who has been working with children with Aspergers, Autism, Learning Difficulties and other disabilities for the past 19 years.

Her Occupational Therapy work has been diverse. She has worked in community health, special schools, private practice, special needs playgroups, kindergym and in a co-ordinating position for Occupational Therapists in outreach jobs.

Whilst working with the various children, their families and their schools, it became very clear to her that the most important ingredients to successful therapy was the ability to help the child to improve their feelings of achievement, safety in their environment and overall self-esteem. These ingredients served to nurture what she saw as the most important things in life, the happiness and connectedness of both the child and those living and working with them.

Jacqui developed her e-book as a result of her strong desire to share her experiences and accumulated knowledge with other parents, carers, and workers. This meant that more people could be exposed to the simple, but effective strategies that have made the positive difference to so many of her students.

Jacqui has also written another e-book entitled "How To Build Self Esteem In Kids" which can be found at www.howtobuildselfesteeminkids.com
